Kalki 2898 AD’ has got one more day to enjoy a smooth run at the box office in India. The Prabhas-starrer will now face ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ at the box office from tomorrow, July 26. The film has collected Rs 622.10 crore after 28 days in India, out of which around Rs 280 crore nett has come from the Hindi version alone, reported the trade website Sacnilk.
The science-fiction drama showed a significant drop in its fourth week, but that was expected. The real challenge for the film, however, begins now with the release of the Marvel biggie in theatres.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ will end up collecting around Rs 24 crore nett in its fourth week at the box office. The film’s current aim is to become the fourth highest-grossing film of all time at the domestic box office, by surpassing the overall collection of ‘Jawan’. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer earned around Rs 640.25 crore in its lifetime run, and the Nag Ashwin-directorial should reach this figure by the end of its fifth weekend, or by next Monday-Tuesday.
This will be the nail in the coffin for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ as the film has already almost exhausted its run at the ticket window. Whatever comes after its fifth Sunday is going to be a bonus. It is likely to end its run at around Rs 650â670 crore in India. At the worldwide box office, it is running at Rs 1008 crore gross.
It will be interesting to see how ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ poses a competition for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ now, starting this weekend.
